Devon and Cornwall Food Action (DCFA) has announced it will no longer run its food pop‑up at Helston Community College.
The charity says rising costs, long travel distances and lower‑than‑needed attendance have made the Helston site no longer viable. DCFA said the decision was made only after “careful consideration” and acknowledged it would be disappointing for some service users.
Residents are being encouraged to attend the charity’s other pop‑ups in Camborne and Hayle, which remain open to all.
A spokesperson for DCFA said: “We’re sorry to share that, after careful consideration, we will no longer be running our food pop‑up at Helston Community College.
“We know this may be disappointing, and it’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has attended and supported the Helston pop‑ups – we really appreciate you and hope to see you at one of the other venues.”
