A new guide to help residents stay warm, healthy and connected through the winter months has been launched.
The 2026/27 Winter Wellbeing Guide is free of charge and packed with practical advice, support information and useful contacts. Printed copies are available from libraries, job centres, foodbanks, GP surgeries, pharmacies, family and community hubs, and Cornwall Council offices. A digital version is also available on the Cornwall Council website.
Produced by Inclusion Cornwall in partnership with the Council’s Public Health Team, the Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF) and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB), this year’s edition includes a new Summer Wellbeing section offering advice on staying safe and healthy during periods of hot weather.
The guide is designed for anyone who may benefit from a little extra support - whether for themselves, their family, friends or neighbours. It includes:
Cllr Thalia Marrington, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Public Health, said: “The Winter Wellbeing Guide is a fantastic resource that brings together practical advice and local support in one place. We know that winter can be challenging for many people, particularly with the ongoing pressures on household budgets, and this guide can help residents find the information and support they need before problems become crises.”
She added: “I would encourage everyone to pick up a copy, share it with family, friends and neighbours, and keep it somewhere handy. Looking out for one another is what makes Cornwall’s communities so strong, and this guide can help ensure more people stay warm and well supported throughout the year.”
