The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival is a free-to-attend, family-friendly, pirate-themed sea shanty festival set in the stunning coastal village of The Lizard.
Now in its third year, the festival brings together 18 performing sea shanty groups over two days, and includes local schools and a children's pirate parade.
Enjoy sing-alongs, shanties, a local theatre skit, alongside a tasty BBQ, and a delicious hog roast, plus flowing drinks and a lot of shennigans.
With an outreach programme taking shanty music into schools and residential homes, and support for local causes including The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station and The Lizard Community Fund, this is an event rooted in community, tradition, and fun.
Accessible, welcoming, and full of Cornish character – it’s the perfect reason to head to the most southerly point for a September festival to remember. ⚓🎶
