Annual Shanty Festival in Mevagissey and Pentewan with over 500 performers over 14 venues.

The Festival takes place annually in mid October and celebrates the heritage of shanty singing closely allied with seafarers. Performers are drawn from groups across Cornwall, the UK and Europe and the weekend is a fun celebration of shanty singing. Alongside all the venues there is a marquee on Mevagissey housing the main stage and real ale bar from our sponsors Keltek Brewery in Cornwall.
We are pleased to be joined by Rewind radio this year who will be showcasing the event on air over the weekend.
Not only a fun time the festival raised much needed funds for local community groups and brings in trade to the area in a traditionally quiet time of the year, we look forward to seeing you.
