The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind, with strong gusts set to hit Cornwall this evening.
The warning is in place from 6pm on Monday until 3am on Tuesday, with strong south to south-westerly winds expected to bring difficult conditions across the Duchy.
Forecasters said winds will strengthen from the west during Monday evening, with gusts of 45 to 50mph inland. Along exposed coastlines and higher ground, gusts could reach 60 to 65mph.
The strong winds are also expected to be accompanied by periods of heavy rain, which could lead to some disruption to travel and outdoor activities.

According to the Met Office, winds will begin to ease from the west during the early hours of Tuesday morning. However, stronger winds are then expected to develop again across northern parts of the UK later in the morning.
Residents are advised to secure any loose outdoor items and take extra care if travelling during the warning period.
The latest forecasts and weather warnings can be found on the Met Office website.
