St Austell Players and Charlestown History Group have come together to present a promenade play commemorating 200 years since the death of Charles Rashleigh, the founder, benefactor, architect and builder of Charlestown.

'Rashleigh' is the scandalous story of Charles Rashleigh, a man forgotten by history. Walk in his shoes and stand upon the harbour he built.

NB: This show is for those more ably minded, as part of the show includes a walk up hill to the battery, it is performed outdoors and will involve you walking through the Village so wear clothes suitable and shoes steady as we take you into the life of Charles Rashleigh.

Performance dates are:
Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd September
Friday 8th, Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th September.
