Standard Terms and Conditions for Nominating a Person for an Award (UK)

1. Introduction

1.1 By submitting a nomination for an award, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are binding and apply to all nominations submitted for consideration.

2. Eligibility for Nomination

2.1 Nominations can only be submitted for individuals or businesses that meet the criteria specified for the award category.
2.2 Nominees must be residents or based in the United Kingdom.
2.3 Nominations must be made for individuals or businesses who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the area the award recognises.
2.4 Employees, organisers, or their immediate families associated with the award organisers are not eligible to be nominated.
2.5 Sponsors of an award, as well as employees of the sponsoring company, are not eligible to be nominated in the category they sponsor.

3. Nomination Process

3.1 Nominations must be submitted through the official nomination platform.
3.2 All sections of the nomination form must be completed in full, including supporting documentation or evidence where required.
3.3 The deadline for nominations is 29th of March 2026 at 23:59. Nominations submitted after this date will not be considered.
3.4 The award organisers reserve the right to disqualify any incomplete, incorrect, or fraudulent nominations.

4. Nomination Confirmation

4.1 Once a nomination is submitted, the nominator will receive an acknowledgment of receipt. This does not guarantee that the nominee will be shortlisted or awarded.
4.2 The organisers may contact the nominator for additional information or clarification during the evaluation process.

5. Judging and Selection

5.1 Nominations will be evaluated by a panel of judges chosen by the award organisers.
5.2 The judging process is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the judging.
5.3 The award organisers reserve the right to amend the award categories or criteria at their discretion.
5.4 The award organisers may, at their sole discretion, withdraw or withhold an award if the nominee does not meet the eligibility requirements or if they are disqualified.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1 By submitting a nomination, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data and the nominee’s personal data for the purposes of administering the award process.
6.2 The award organisers will ensure all personal data is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any applicable data protection laws.
6.3 Nominator and nominee details will only be shared with the judging panel and award organisers for the purposes of assessing nominations and notifying winners.

7. Publicity and Promotion

7.1 By submitting a nomination, the nominator and nominee consent to the use of their name, image, and any other information provided as part of the nomination for publicity, marketing, and promotional purposes related to the award.
7.2 Finalists will be asked to attend the award ceremony and participate in promotional activities related to the award.
7.3 Any media, photographs, or videos taken at the event may be used for promotional purposes by the organisers.

8. No Financial Liability

8.1 The award organisers are not liable for any costs, expenses, or losses incurred in the nomination or award process, including travel, accommodation, or other expenses associated with attending the awards ceremony.
8.2 The award organisers are not responsible for any technical or administrative errors that may affect the nomination process.

9. Award Ceremony

9.1 Finalists will be invited to attend the award ceremony, where the awards will be presented. The event date, location, and format will be confirmed in advance.
9.2 Attendance at the award ceremony is at the finalists discretion but is encouraged.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions 

10.1 The award organisers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to nominators and will apply to all subsequent nominations.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Age

13.1 You must be 18 or over to nominate.

14. Bulk entries

14.1 High quantities of entries from a single individual will be disqualified.
