Child bereavement charity to hold family fun day to celebrate 30 years

A fun day packed with activities for families and children, music, shopping and food and drink will help raise funds for Cornish child bereavement charity, Penhaligon’s Friends at Rayle Farm near Redruth on Saturday 28th June.

Penhaligon’s Friends Family Fun Day is part of the charity’s 30th anniversary celebrations and will offer bouncy castles, laser tag, face painting, as well as lots of free fun activities for children to enjoy. This will include free forest school craft activities and a free story telling sessions by local children’s author, Alasdair Hoswell.

A great line up of local live music acts, assisted by Cornwall’s Rewind Radio crew who will be leading party games and dancing sessions, will keep visitors entertained throughout the day.

There will be plenty of stalls and crafters selling their creations, a huge raffle with lots of prizes to be won and a selection of food and drink vendors and an ice cream van to keep everyone fuelled and hydrated.

Julie Parker, chief executive at Penhaligon’s Friends said:

“We’re looking forward to our Family Fun Day on Saturday 28th June at Rayle Farm and everyone is very welcome to join us to enjoy everything on offer as we celebrate 30 years of supporting children and their families across Cornwall after the loss of someone special.

“There will be so much to do, rain or shine, including lots of free activities for families and their children, music, shopping as well as food and drink. It’ll also help us raise funds to ensure we can be there to support bereaved children in Cornwall in the future.”

Entry is just £3 per person and under 2s go free, parking is free and the event runs from 11am until 3pm at Rayle Farm, Bridge, Redruth, TR16 4QP.
