Cornwall Airport Newquay leader takes next step after 11 years with the business

Cornwall Airport Newquay has announced that Interim Managing Director Amy Smith will be leaving the business to take up a new opportunity within the aviation industry.

Amy has been part of Cornwall Airport Newquay for 11 years and has played an instrumental role in the airport’s development during a significant period of change, including major operational milestones, airline developments, terminal upgrades and the continued growth of the airport as a vital transport gateway for Cornwall. Most recently, Amy has served as Interim Managing Director, leading the business through an important period of transition.

Amy Smith said: “After 11 years at Cornwall Airport Newquay, I have decided the time is right for me to move on to a new opportunity within the industry. It has been a privilege to work with such a dedicated and passionate team, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. CAN is a very special place, and I will leave with many fond memories and every confidence in its future success.
