Out of the Woods Play and Creative Arts Therapy CIC is thrilled to announce the launch of the £1 Challenge, a community-driven fundraising initiative set to run from July 1st to July 13th, in celebration of founder Kerra’s birthday.
In the spirit of giving, Kerra is inviting the public to take part in this simple yet powerful challenge: donate £1 to Out of the Woods CIC, then ask 13 friends to do the same—each of whom will then ask 13 more. With the power of exponential giving, an AI calculator has estimated that this ripple effect could potentially raise an astounding £3.7 trillion in just 13 days.
All proceeds will support Out of the Woods CIC, a non-profit organisation committed to delivering play and creative arts therapy for children and young people across Cornwall who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)—including physical or emotional abuse, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence, or the loss or separation of a parent.
“We believe that with community support, even the smallest contribution can lead to extraordinary change,” said Kerra, founder of Out of the Woods. “The £1 Challenge is not just a birthday celebration—it’s a movement to bring healing and hope to children across Cornwall.”
Together, we can turn a single pound into a powerful force for good.
