Porthpean Outdoor, a Cornish leader and provider in outdoor education and school residential camps, is offering three sponsored placements for its upcoming Outdoor Instructor Training Course starting in January 2025
The course will provide opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts and aspiring activity instructors to gain all the essential skills, awards and qualifications to start a career within the industry, both here and abroad.
The Outdoor Instructor Training Course, set to begin in January 2025, will equip students with all the practical and theoretical knowledge, safety protocols, and leadership skills required to lead outdoor adventures. The course focuses on essential areas such as risk management, navigation, teamwork and first aid, as well as a range of 23 internationally recognised and site specific instructor awards and qualifications.
Worth £6,500, the course will run for 16 weeks at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre near St. Austell. There are opportunities to upgrade to a full or occasional residential package, as well as purchasing discounted equipment packages.
