The UK’s leading UK Surf Therapy charity joins Cornwall Heritage Trust in spotlight at Cornwall’s largest annual event.
The UK’s leading UK Surf Therapy charity, The Wave Project has been selected as the Royal Cornwall Show’s Charity of the Year for 2025, joining Cornwall Heritage Trust.
As part of the show, The Wave Project will welcome visitors at Stand 188, where a calming coastal-themed space offers a peaceful break from the busy showground and a chance to learn more about the charity’s work. The stand has been made possible thanks to a generous £1,000 donation from Cornish landscape architecture firm Mei Loci. On top of this donation they have also designed and built the entire stand. Drawing inspiration from the Cornish shoreline, the space has been created to evoke the relaxing feel of the beach, a reminder of the healing power of nature and the sea.
Visitors of all ages can also enjoy a family-friendly Trail across the Showground, designed and delivered by the Cornwall Heritage Trust and The Wave Project team, supported by other local businesses in attendance.

It’s an amazing opportunity to be represented at such a landmark event and we’re hoping to raise even more awareness about the work we do here in Cornwall and across the UK.”

The Wave Project invites all visitors to stop by their stand to learn more about Surf Therapy, take part in the Trail, and enjoy a moment of calm by the sea, no wetsuit required.
