Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl

With hazy summer beach days soon to be a distant memory, the team behind Love Newquay and Newquay Business Improvement District (BID), has announced that the holiday resort will be THE place for the whole family to enjoy the most frightful October Half Term getaway in the country. This year, from Saturday October 25th – Sunday November 2nd, Spooky Newquay (the famous week-long frightful festivity) is back and it is set to be bigger than ever before, full of supersized Cornish creepiness as well as Titan the Robot at the upscaled Zombie Crawl.
On Saturday, October 25th, Spooky Newquay will commence in style with the town’s most terrifying tradition, the gargantuan Zombie Crawl (the only one of its kind in the South West). This year’s crawl is set to be bigger, louder, and more electrifying than ever, with a special appearance from Titan the Robot – the world-famous mechanical marvel who was originally created right here in Newquay. Titan will join the spook-tacular event to bring laughter, music and plenty of terrifying surprises to thrill seekers from far and wide.
From 11am (until approx. 2.30pm), the 2025 Zombie Crawl experience will begin with multiple free rolling workshops for families to enjoy, happening throughout the town, including freaky family face painting, zombie outfit making sessions, pop-up scary moooves dance classes, spooky storytelling, circus skills and ongoing entertainment in preparation for the creepy Crawl. All these sessions are free-of-charge for everyone to attend and will be situated in businesses and locations throughout the town, from Cliff Road right through to Fore Street. Then, in a scene not dissimilar to that of a dystopian movie, at 3pm sharp, thousands of affected Zombies, including lifeguards, pirates and pop stars, will gather at Station Parade on Cliff Road to join the horror show, shuffling, groaning and crawling their way through the wicked wasteland of Newquay’s main street, ending at Sainsburys, Alma Place. As with the previous instalments of the Zombie Crawl, this year’s trail will end at various Newquay establishments where after parties of ‘Spooky Discos’ will kick off.
Across the rest of the Half Term week, visitors to Newquay should look out for spooky monster offers going on right through the town. This year will also see the launch of a Spooky Halloween Trail around the town, with participating businesses joining in the fun by decorating their windows, dressing up staff in spooky outfits, and creating a truly immersive Halloween atmosphere. Trenance Park will also be part of the celebration, hosting a Spooky Trenance Trail to extend the event beyond the town centre. Across the resort, Newquay businesses will be ‘spookifying’ their shop fronts, their teams, their wares, products and offerings.
