⚫️ What’s On For St Piran’s Day Across Cornwall ⚪️
Gool Peran Lowen! There’s plenty happening across Cornwall to celebrate St Piran’s Day (Thursday 5 March), with even more events taking place over the following weekend (Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 March).
Here are just some of the celebrations taking place across the Duchy:
🎉 St Piran’s Day – Thursday 5 March
Perranwell Centre
Expect pasties, a procession, the raising of the Cornish flag, and the famous Trelawny Shout to celebrate Cornwall’s patron saint.
Newquay
A St Piran’s Day parade will start from Beachfield Gardens, with dancing and entertainment before finishing with the Trelawny Shout.
Saltash
Join the symbolic walk across the Tamar Bridge “to England” and back again at 11am, followed by celebrations at the Cornish Cross.
Launceston
A Children’s Parade will leave from the town square at 10am, and everyone is welcome to join the celebrations.
Plaza Cinema, Truro
A special screening of “The Lost Boys of Carbis Bay” will take place at 6pm.
The Who’d Have Thought It Inn
Enjoy pasties and the Trelawny Shout, with proceeds going to the RNLI.
🎶 Weekend Celebrations – 7th & 8th March
St Austell – Saturday 7 March
A free day of celebrations featuring singing, talks and a parade through the town. Check St Austell Town Council’s socials for full details.
Redruth – Saturday 7 March
The town hosts a full St Piran’s Festival with workshops, performances and more. Find details on the Discover Redruth socials.
Camborne Library – Saturday 7 March
A family-friendly celebration with crafts, games and Cornish makers, running 9:30am – 12:30pm.
Bude Surf Life Saving Club
Take part in the traditional walk from the clubhouse to Summerleaze Beach and back, followed by beer, pasties and a Cornish singalong.
St Buryan Village Hall
A St Piran’s Day Tea from 3pm – 5pm, featuring cream teas, pasties and a performance from Harry Glasson.
Perran Sands – Sunday 8 March
The St Piran’s Trust Procession will head through the dunes.
📍 Meet at Perran Sands Holiday Park
🕑 Procession starts 2pm (bring suitable footwear!).
