Your two day adventure starts on Saturday morning at Padstow Church, where you will embark upon the first leg of your journey. As you leave Padstow you will be treated to spectacular views back across the famous harbour town, before making your way towards St. Breock and the ancient monolithic landmark on the downs.
The first day of trekking ends at the 16 mile mark, where we will set up camp at Mena Farm Campsite with it’s idyllic wild meadows and take time to unwind around the fire pit. Mena Farm have a range of catering vans that come and visit them throughout the summer – not to mention having Lanivet nearby with the Welcome Stranger fish & chip shop and Lanivet Inn pub providing delicious takeaway food – so you have all the means to purchase your evening meal on Saturday night, you’ll have earned a treat!
Sunday morning takes you to the windswept heights of Helman Tor, where you can view the north and south coasts of our beautiful county. As you head down towards Golant, the banks of the river Fowey will lead you to the finish of the iconic Saint’s Way at Readymoney Cove in Fowey, where a medal will be waiting for you! (Please note breakfast and packed lunch on Sunday are provided.)
28 miles may sound like a lot, but split over two days with a relaxing night in Mena Farm’s wild meadows in between, you’ll be enjoying an ice cream in Readymoney Cove in Fowey before you know it!
Plus, we will be with you every step of the way from registration to the finish line. In just a few simple steps you will be on your way to being part of #TeamCHC. Head to our website to sign up today!
Part of our Saint’s Way Trek does involve an element of fundraising. This event is organised by Cornwall Hospice Care, to help fund the care we provide at our two Cornish hospices in Hayle and St Austell, as well as work in local communities providing support and comfort to those dealing with terminal illnesses, so your fundraising really will make a difference to people’s lives, making precious moments matter.
You’ll be surprised how quickly you can make your fundraising target with simply the generosity of friends and family on JustGiving - www.justgiving.com/campaign/saints-way-trek-2024
Setting up an online fundraising page with JustGiving takes just a few minutes, but makes sharing what you’re doing with those near and far very easy. It’s quick and simple for loved ones to donate to your challenge and you can also share updates on your page too.
We also have printable Sponsor Forms of course, if you prefer another method to collect sponsorship and the fundrasing team are on hand to help you so please get in touch.
