UKOPRA, Spirit of the Sea Offshore power boat race being hosted by Falmouth Harbour. The first thunder cat race starts at 0930 in the Bay, the offshore boats start at 1100 at Black Rock Buoy. Some boats will be on public display in the Events Square on Friday along with an engineer from Eastwood Racing to answer any questions. Boats will be on the Port Pendennis marina berths for viewing from mid day Friday until 1000 on Saturday.

TOP TIP for the petrol heads - be at the back of the Maritime museum for 0930 on Saturday to hear the engines being warmed up! V8 Noise!!

Friday

12.00 midday onwards Race Control opens and boats arrive for scrutineering. Marina Office.
12.00 – 18:00 Scrutineering
19:00 Welcome drinks followed by general forum discussion. Windjammer Café and Bar.
Launched boats to be held at Port Pendennis Marina overnight.

Saturday

08.00 am Race Control open
08.30 ThunderCat Drivers Briefing
09.00 Offshore Drivers Briefing
08.30 ThunderCat Scrutineering closed

Race format

The event forms the final round of the UKOPRA championship and points will be awarded accordingly.
