Young Generation presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast

Award-winning youth theatre group, Young Generation, is thrilled to announce their upcoming summer production of Disney’s enchanting musical, Beauty and the Beast. The performances will take place at Princess Pavilion from 7th – 10th August 2024 promising an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

Young Generation, renowned for their vibrant and dynamic productions, has captivated the community for over 40 years with their talent and dedication to the arts. This summer, they are set to bring to life the timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast, a story filled with magic, romance, and the transformative power of love.

Under direction of an all-female production team, the cast of talented young performers aged 10-20 have been working tirelessly to create a show that will transport audiences to the whimsical world of Belle, the Beast, and the enchanted castle. The production features iconic songs such as “Be Our Guest,” “Belle,” and the famous “Beauty and the Beast,” ensuring a musical experience that will delight both long-time fans and newcomers to the story.

This year marks a milestone for Young Generation as they offer their first-ever relaxed performance to make theatre more accessible. This special performance on Saturday 10th August at 2pm will include a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter, house lights will remain up, dramatic sound effects will be reduced and general theatre rules will be relaxed. Audience members are free to make noise, move around or leave for a break if needed. Young Generation hopes that this initiative will help ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of live theatre in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

A meet and greet will also take place on Saturday 10th August after the matinee performance where audiences will be able to meet and interact with Belle, Beast and Lumiere.
