• Design team appointed to deliver Cornwall’s new Women and Children’s Hospital and Pathology Hub

  Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new multi-disciplinary design team to lead the design development of the Women and Children’s Hospital, and key enabling schemes which include a new microbiology building to bring together pathology services at the centre of the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. The new Women and Children’s Hospital for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is a Wave 1 scheme within the Government’s New Hospital Programme.

• Where Art Meets The Wave Raises Over £26,500 for Cornwall Hospice Care

  On Thursday, 25th September, an extraordinary fusion of art and surf culture came to life as 43 uniquely hand-decorated belly boards were auctioned in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care, raising over £26,000. This creative initiative, aptly named "Where Art Meets The Wave," was sponsored by Rodda's and featured boards specially crafted for the project by Fyne Boat Kits of Kendal and Derek Thompson of Surf Classic Boards.
