Cornwall Slush'D 2025 returns to Newquay this September

Tech Cornwall is excited to announce that Cornwall Slush'D will return to Newquay on 17th September 2025, continuing its tradition as one of the most influential tech startup events in the South West.

Following the success of last year’s event, which showcased Cornwall’s thriving innovation ecosystem, Slush'D 2025 will bring together Cornwall's brightest minds with industry leaders, investors and entrepreneurs for a day of learning, networking and pitching.

A growing platform for Cornwall’s tech startups

The Slush'D event series is gaining momentum year after year, offering the region’s startups unparalleled opportunities to connect with global thought leaders and investors. Cornwall Slush'D 2025 will once again host its flagship Pitch Competition, where Cornwall’s most exciting tech startups will pitch their innovative ideas for a chance to gain global recognition and follow in the footsteps of 2024’s pitch competition winner, Mike Wright, Co-Founder of Output.Industries, who has received invaluable business support from the local network and had the opportunity to attend Helsinki Slush as a result of his winning pitch.

What to expect at Cornwall Slush'D 2025

The event will feature dynamic keynote speeches, expert-led panels, and exclusive networking opportunities. While sponsors and speakers will be announced in 2025, the event will build on the exciting format of last year, which included:

• The Pitch Competition – A chance for Cornwall’s best startups to showcase their ideas to investors, with one standout company securing the opportunity to follow in Mike Wright’s footsteps and benefit from the experience and expertise of a local and national network.

• Networking opportunities – Facilitated connections between entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders, designed to foster collaboration and business growth.

• Interactive exhibitions & Venture Village – A chance to engage with founders and their innovative technologies and products from Cornwall’s tech community. The Venture Village is startup-focused, providing a platform for new and upcoming tech companies to showcase their innovative tech.

• International Demo Night - Providing a platform for gaining rapid and critical product feedback helping founders shape their product roadmap, live-streamed to an international audience in partnership with Canopy Community. 

• Startup Surf & After Party - Bringing the party vibes of Helsinki’s Slush to the shores of Cornwall complete with an early morning surf.

Tickets and applications

Pre-sale tickets for Cornwall Slush'D 2025 are now available. For more information head to Tech Cornwall’s social media. The main sale will begin in January 2025. Founders and entrepreneurs looking to pitch their startup or feature at the event can apply online. Application details will be available early in 2025.
