Cornwall’s Rewind Radio is excited to announce that Scott Temple, a beloved local radio personality formerly with Pirate FM and most recently Greatest Hits Radio, is joining the station as the voice of the Duchy’s daytime radio.
Scott Temple will now be heard across Cornwall and West Devon on Cornwall’s only independent commercial station, bringing his local expertise and warmth to listeners starting Monday, November 11th.
Scott Temple, known for his nearly 11 years on Cornwall’s heritage station, has been a trusted presence for local listeners, celebrated for features like "The Double Duchy" and his engaging on-air style. In light of recent changes in station ownership, Scott wanted to remain committed to local radio, a medium he believes holds a unique and impactful role in the community.
“I am delighted to be part of a fast-growing local radio station that’s making a significant impact across Cornwall,” Scott said. “Last week’s Radiothon is a testament to the hard work Richard Woods and his team have put in.”
Scott will be on air weekdays from 1 to 3 p.m., and he’ll also host Saturday and Sunday mornings, bringing his familiar voice and experience to Cornwall’s Rewind Radio. His addition to the team is a significant move for the station as it continues to expand its reach and influence in the region.
Richard Woods, Managing Director of Cornwall’s Rewind Radio, shared his excitement about Scott’s arrival. “Having someone as recognisable as Scott on air can only bring more listeners and, in turn, benefit our commercial partners. Scott brings over 25 years of commercial radio experience, and I am thrilled he sees Rewind as his new home for daytime radio.”
Scott will follow Jack Murley’s new time slot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., during which Jack will continue popular segments like “If You Know, You Know” and the “Big Business Battle.” Scott will also bring back the much-loved “Double Duchy” feature, a nod to his legacy and dedication to Cornwall’s community-focused broadcasting.
Tune in to Cornwall’s Rewind Radio starting Monday, November 11th, to welcome Scott Temple and experience the next evolution of local radio for Cornwall and West Devon.
