A non-profit organisation supporting families in Cornwall affected by terminal illness has extended its Crowdfunder appeal as it continues its efforts to raise vital funds to maintain and expand its services.
Gunners Kids CIC, which supports families with children when a parent, carer or close family member has a terminal illness, has launched the appeal with a fundraising target of £15,000.
Sadly, the campaign has only raised £520 towards that goal so far. Gunners Kids provides a range of support to families facing the devastating impact of a terminal illness.
Its services include support boxes, activity days, outreach services, drop-in sessions, advice and practical support. The organisation’s work is focused not only on helping families navigate an incredibly difficult period, but also on helping them create positive memories together.
Through activities, workshops and family experiences, Gunners Kids aims to help families remain families and ensure that children can continue to be children despite the challenges they are facing.

There are a number of rewards available to people who support the Crowdfunder, including the opportunity to win a Decathlon voucher, a Prosecco and Pamper package and other rewards.
“Every donation, regardless of size, can help Gunners Kids continue to provide vital support to families across Cornwall,” a spokesperson said.
