Flambards Theme Park is stepping up to support those in need during these challenging times by hosting a special Foodbank Weekend on Saturday, 5th, and Sunday, 6th October.
In collaboration with Helston and The Lizard Foodbank, Flambards is offering reduced ticket prices of just £9.95 for visitors who bring a food donation worth approximately £3.
With the cost-of-living crisis impacting so many, Flambards is joining forces with the local foodbank to tackle the issue of food poverty in the community.
All visitors need to do is book their ticket online or at the gate for the reduced price and bring along a donation of non-perishable food on the day of their visit.
Suggested items include powdered milk, rice pudding, small tins of ham, sponge puddings, instant mashed potato, and custard. Alternatively, visitors can make a £3 cash donation to the foodbank on the day.
For example, you could purchase a £9.95 ticket and donate three tins of custard (approximately £3) upon arrival.
If a donation is not brought, the standard ticket price of £14.95 per person will apply.
Season pass holders can enjoy free entry, but a donation is still suggested to support this important cause.
Helston and The Lizard Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust's nationwide network, provides emergency food and support to those facing poverty.
They operate out of Mustard Seed Café in Wendron Street on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and at Mullion Church on Fridays.
