Police were called at around 7:25pm last night (Thursday 27 July) following reports of a collision on the A30 at Loggans, near Hayle.
The collision involved a Renault Clio, Renault Twingo and a Hyundai i20.
The driver of the Clio, a man in his 20s from the Falmouth area, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.
The driver of the Twingo a woman in her thirties from the Penzance area, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The two occupants of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries.
The road was closed for almost 12 hours whilst an investigation was carried out at the scene.
