Cornwall is set to shimmer once again as the iconic Falmouth Week Pink Wig Mermaid March returns to Falmouth on Friday 7 August 2026, bringing a wave of colour, positivity, and community spirit in support of breast cancer care across the county.
The much-loved annual event raises vital funds for The Mermaid Centre, Cornwall’s dedicated breast cancer unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. Every pound donated can help fund the essential extras that fall outside the NHS budget such as enhancements that lift spirits, improve environments, support staff training, and make a meaningful difference to patients and their families.
A Celebration of Strength and Solidarity
More than a parade, the Pink Wig Mermaid March has become a powerful movement of unity, remembrance, and hope. For 2026, everyone is invited to take part, whether wearing a pink wig with pride, shimmering in sequins, or simply showing support along the route.
Participants are encouraged to embrace the Mermaid theme in their own unique style, from disco and retro to pirate, boho, rock and roll, punk, or masquerade mermaids, creativity is not only welcomed but celebrated.
