The Cinnamon Trust Receives Global Recognition as a World’s Happiest Workplace

The Cinnamon Trust has been named one of the World’s Happiest Workplaces for the second consecutive year, according to leading employee experience platform WorkL.

The Cornwall-based national charity achieved outstanding results, ranking among the top 100 Industry Non Profitsand placing at the very top of the 120,000 organisations worldwide that took part in the survey. 

The Cinnamon Trust was awarded points across multiple categories, including Best for Women, Most Inclusive, Best for Wellbeing, Most Engaged Employees, Best for Management, Best for Development, Best for 19–24-year-olds, Best for 55+, Best for LGBTQ+ Employees, and Happiest Workplace. 

This recognition is based entirely on employee feedback. All Cinnamon Trust staff completed WorkL’s anonymous Happy at Work survey, sharing their experience across key areas that shape working life, including wellbeing, job satisfaction, reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, and pride in their work.

“The team is, without any doubt, truly wonderful. We care for each other well beyond our everyday tasks, and that care shows in both our growth and the impact we’re able to make. We didn’t set out to be ‘the happiest’ workplace. Our intention has always been to build a nurturing environment that genuinely values the people delivering life-changing work. Compassionate and respectful workplaces are not only possible, they’re also effective.” 

Team members across the headquarters and sanctuaries in South Cornwall and South Devon, also shared what makes them happiest at work:

The full list of winners was compiled by WorkL, an employee experience platform that measures, tracks and improves workplace engagement and happiness. More than one million employees completed WorkL’s Happy at Work test as part of the 2026 awards, representing over 120,000 organisations globally.
