The Minack Theatre has announced the launch of three new visitor pass options for 2025/26. Providing enhanced access to one of Cornwall's most iconic cultural venues, the new programme includes an Annual Pass for unlimited visits and two complimentary pass schemes specifically for local residents.
Unlimited Access for Visitors
The new Annual Pass is open to everyone, offering exceptional value at £30 for up to 2 adults and £40 for families (2 adults and up to 3 children aged 15 or under). Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, the pass provides unlimited visits during regular opening hours, subject to availability. Advance booking is strongly recommended and essential during school holidays to guarantee entry. Visitors planning multiple trips throughout the year will find the Annual Pass offers outstanding value, with the admission cost for a couple recovered in less than two visits.
Even in the cold weather, the Minack café, with its panoramic views of Porthcurno Bay, is a fabulous place to watch the waves and spot wildlife on the cliffs, while enjoying a light lunch or a coffee and cake with friends. For plant lovers, the clifftop garden is full of evergreen subtropical plants, some of the most spectacular of which flower in the winter months and the theatre and cafe are dog-friendly during visiting times.
Free Access for Cornwall Residents
The new TR Local Winter Pass enables residents whose primary address is in any TR postcode area to enjoy the Minack for free all this winter – while TR19 postcode residents can register for a special TR19 Local Annual Pass, giving them year-round access. As with the Annual Pass, visits should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment, especially at popular times of the year.
Director of the Minack, Rebecca Thomas, welcomes this new initiative. “The Minack is a part of our Cornish heritage here in Porthcurno and we’d love more local people to share the beauty and inspiration of this unique place.”
Important Information
All passes are valid for visitor access during regular visiting times only. Performances, storytelling and tours are not included and must be booked separately.
Annual Passes and free Local Passes can be obtained through the Minack Theatre website. Visitors are advised to book their visits in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak periods.
