Cornwall’s beloved singer-songwriter Will Keating will perform at St Just Town Hall on Friday 3rd October 2025 in a special concert for YMCA Cornwall’s Your Help, Their Future campaign – to build four new homes for young people at risk of homelessness.
Doors open at 6:30 PM until 10:00 PM. Guests will enjoy an evening of music, fun and community, with a cash bar available throughout the night and a raffle featuring some amazing prizes.
Joining Will on stage are two exceptional musicians:
Ben Sutcliffe, Creative Director, co-writer, and frontman of The People’s String Foundation, known for his dynamic performances and genre-blending compositions.
John Dowling, internationally acclaimed banjo player and previous winner (and twice finalist) of the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards. (At just 21, John became the first non-American to win the USA National Bluegrass Banjo Championships in Kansas).
Will Keating: “I’m thrilled to be bringing some of my incredibly talented friends together for a night of music and purpose. Supporting YMCA Cornwall’s campaign means a lot to me, and I hope this concert helps raise both funds and awareness for the vital work they do.”
Helen Wilson-Prowse, Head of Operations at YMCA Cornwall said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Will Keating and his friends for supporting our campaign. This concert is not only a celebration of Cornish music but a wonderful way to help us support those young people at risk in our community.”
Proceeds from the evening will go directly toward the Your Help, Their Future campaign. The initiative aims to build four self-contained flats at YMCA Cornwall’s site in Penzance. The campaign has already raised £150,000 of its £250,000 goal, including a generous donation from The Duke of Cornwall’s Charitable Foundation.
Tickets are £12, and available from YMCA Cornwall’s reception in Penzance. By calling 01736 334820. Or online at ticketsource.
Local businesses are invited to donate raffle and auction prizes. Contact Lisa or Helen at: partnerships@ymcacornwall.org to contribute.
The event is proudly supported by D.Law Scaffolding Ltd and JR Flat Roofing.
