A weekend of events taking place to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II in the pretty village of St Wenn
An exhibition in the Church takes place from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st August where floral depictions of some key events of World War II including D Day, VE Day and The War in the East will take place. Memorabilia and historical accounts will feature too. Cream teas and a warm welcome is guaranteed with donations sought for the Royal British Legion and Ukraine appeal. Church is open each day from 10am to 4pm
The Ruthern Valley Players theatre group will host 'Pack Up Your Troubles' - an evening of 1940's nostalgia with comedy, verse and song from the era in the Church on Friday 29th August. Doors open at 7pm. Cash bar available. Sing along if you can!
Friends of St Wenn School host 'The BIG Blighty Breakfast...No Rations! on Saturday 30th August in the Hall from 9am onwards. Prices are
