Cornwall’s Baby Show returned this weekend in a new location at St Austell Leisure Centre, welcoming expectant parents, new families and carers for a day dedicated to pregnancy, early parenthood and family wellbeing.
Supported by Cornwall’s Rewind Radio and NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, alongside local health and community partners, the event created a welcoming space for families to access trusted advice, practical support and local services all in one place. Visitors were able to speak directly with healthcare professionals, explore specialist maternity and baby services, and connect with Cornwall-based businesses supporting parents at every stage.
NHS services were available on the day, offering vital health information and support for pregnant women, including guidance around vaccinations and keeping both parent and baby protected throughout pregnancy. Informal discussions and one-to-one conversations allowed attendees to ask questions and gain reassurance from experienced professionals.
Helen Snowden, Event Manager at Cornwall’s Rewind Radio, said:
“Cornwall’s Baby Show is all about bringing families together with the right support at the right time. It’s been wonderful to see so many parents feeling informed, reassured and supported.”
The show featured a wide range of local traders, and service providers, showcasing baby products, antenatal and postnatal support, parenting resources and wellbeing services. Many attendees took the opportunity to gather information, and discover support networks available within their local community.
Feedback from both visitors and exhibitors was extremely positive, with praise for the friendly atmosphere, smooth organisation and the wealth of useful information available throughout the day.
The team behind Cornwall’s Baby Show would like to thank all exhibitors, partners, volunteers and attendees for helping make the event another success for families across Cornwall.
