Families can meet Santa, ride husky sleds and return to Cornwall the same evening on new festive charter. For the first time ever, a same-day Lapland experience will depart from Newquay, taking passengers straight to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland - the official home of Santa Claus - on 21 December 2026.
The exclusive charter will allow families to experience the magic of Lapland without the need for an overnight stay, returning to Cornwall the same evening.
Operated by The Lapland Experience in partnership with Murray Travel, the one-day trip offers a full festive itinerary including husky sledding, a reindeer sleigh ride, snow sledging and a private meeting with Santa Claus.
Visitors will also enjoy a hot buffet lunch and time to explore the world-famous Santa Claus Village, before flying back to Cornwall later the same day.
The unique trip is expected to be hugely popular with families across the South West looking for a magical Christmas experience without travelling far from home.

The charter flight will depart Cornwall Airport Newquay on 21 December 2026, arriving in Rovaniemi for a full day of festive activities before returning to Cornwall that evening - meaning children can still be home in time for bed.
