A brand new 6,500 square-foot charity home store is set to open in Truro and the British Heart Foundation is encouraging the people of Cornwall to pay them a visit and support the charity’s lifesaving research.
Opening on Tuesday 25th February at 10AM, the team of staff and volunteers have been working hard to carefully curate a selection of items, from sofas to beds, white goods to dining sets, to entice shoppers inside and show off the great bargains available.
As one of only two BHF home stores in Cornwall, the charity is excited to welcome customers old and new from across the county, showing them the treasures of second-hand homeware.
British Heart Foundation Area Manager Dan Wood said: “We’re really excited to welcome customers from across Cornwall through the doors. Please do pop in, say hello and have a look to see what we have in store.
“We’re conveniently located in an excellent retail park and have some great brands as neighbours. Our store is all on one level so customers can easily browse the great selection of preloved and new pieces we have. There is also a customer collection point at the rear of the store and remember if you can’t quite fit anything in your boot, speak to a member of the store team to arrange a home delivery.
The store is packed with generously donated items and Dan says that if anyone has quality homeware items they’d like to donate, there’s lots of convenient ways to do so.
Dan adds: “If you’ve got bigger items give us a call and we can arrange a free collection. We also accept donations in store but if you’re not sure, give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.”
All the money raised in BHF stores helps fund the charity’s lifesaving research. Supporters can also donate their time and the charity is also looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two to help in store.
