As Storm Goretti continues to impact communities across the South West, National Grid has outlined an extensive package of welfare support for people in Cornwall still without electricity.
With many homes remaining off-grid due to damage from the storm, National Grid in partnership with Warm Welcome and local community groups is operating warm spaces, hot food and drink locations, and mobile welfare vans to help residents stay warm, fed, and connected while restoration work continues.

Priority Services & Additional Support
National Grid is also contacting customers on the Priority Services Register — including those who are elderly, disabled, or reliant on medical equipment, to provide tailored help, regular updates, and ensure urgent welfare needs are met.
Continued Power Restoration Work
Engineers are working around the clock to repair damage to the network and restore supplies as quickly and safely as possible. Fallen trees, heavy winds, and challenging access conditions are complicating efforts, but National Grid and local partners remain committed to reconnecting customers.
